The legacy of Indian classical art was unveiled at Changampuzha Park, Kochi on the eves 6th, 7th and 8th of December 2013 when Kalyana Krishna Foundation organized the annual tribute to the Indian classical dance legends Sri. Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and Smt. KalyanikkuttiAmma .

The performances of first eve started as Prof. M.K.Sanu inaugurated the program and gave away the annual awards. Kalyana Krishna Endowment Award 2013 was entitled to Late Sri. Kumaran, famous Aniyara artist. Sri. Kalamandalam Ramachandran received ChanganappallyAniyan Memorial Award 2013.

The cultural session had its dawn at 6:30pm with an hour long gracious Mohiniyattam performance by Smitha Rajan. The Vocal music by Shri. Ganesh Prabhu was accompanied by the instrumental performances in Mridangam&Maddalam by Shri.Shyam Menon, Idakka – HariThripponithura, Flute – VivekShenoy, Maddalam- RajagopalKrishnakumar and Veena by Shri. Manoj.Sr. Margi SajeevNarayanan Chakyar’sChakyarkoothu succeeded it. NevathyaDineeshP Chakyar served with Mizhaavu for the Chakyarkoothu performance.

The eve of 7th December began at 5:30pm with the year’s upcoming talent artists, a Bharatanatyam performance by Alex Raphael and Kuchipudi by ChandralekhaRatheesh. Bijeesh Krishna and team provided with the musical assistance for Alex Raphael.

Later the disciples of Guru Sri. Bichitrananda Swain, hailing from Rudrakshya foundation Kolkatta presented an elegant Odissi performance. Pabithra Kumar Pradhan, Abhya Kumar Parida, RashmiRanjanBarik and Samir Kumar Panigrahi were the performers.

On the final eve,Prof. M.K.SankaranNamboothiri and group presented a Carnatic music concert from 5:30pm to 7pm.Viju.S.Anand played Violin and CherthalaKrishnakumar played Mridangam for the concert. The hour duo from 7:15 to 9:15pm witnessed the story of 'Subhadraharanam', marvelously done in Kathakali by Sri. Kottakkal Chandrasekhara Warrier and Fact Padmanabhan.R.L.V.Damodara Pisharoty and Sadanam Vijayan played Brahmins in the first scene. Kottakkal Chandrasekhara Warrier played Balabhadran and FACT Padmanabhan played Krishna in the 2nd scene. When Kalamandalam Gopinathanand Thripunithura Arjun Raj performed the Vocal music, Kalamandalam Raman Namboothiri played Chenda, Kalanilayam Manoj played Maddalam, Eroor Manoj crafted Chutti and Eroor Shaji and party set up Aniyara for the performance. This Kathakali performance was an initiative of Shri Bhavaniswari KathakaliYogam, Eroor.

The eve-triplet showered the elixir of joy contained in conceiving the soul of our praised and celebrated art traditions.
